2023 UNCW Tryout Registration
The UNCW hockey program consists of passionate student-athletes that love to play the game of hockey. It is a brotherhood that is selfless, dedicated, and committed to making the team the main focus. UNCW hockey strives to build a championship tradition by doing things better than they have ever been done before.

Is to provide players with one of the best public educations in the state and nation while also being the best place in the country to play college hockey within the ACHA D2.
In the future, the hockey program strives to make the jump to ACHA D1 hockey with the dream of one day having its own hockey rink to call home.

Practices
The team practices 3 times per week.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays.
from 8:30 am - 9:30 am.
Games
The hockey team will play 30 - 36 games over the course of the season and they will usually take place on Friday and Saturday nights.
Strength & Conditioning
New for the 23-24 season the UNCW Hockey team has its own Strength & Conditioning program through the local business - Change the Game. During the off-season, the team will be working out three times a week and twice a week during the season.
Through Perch, we use state-of-the-art Velocity-Based Training. Perch is now popping up in more and more weight rooms within the NHL and NCAA D1 programs
BROADCASTING
Our home games are live-streamed through Black Dog Hockey on their Premier Channel. The cost is $10 for the game or $30.00 for the month. A portion of the fee is donated to the UNCW hockey team.

COST
The cost per player depends on how much money the team fundraiser during the season, but the price has varied from $2,000 to $2,500 per player.
